Enjoy the unique Oktoberfest atmosphere for three days from 2 to 4 September 2016 in Lindau. Slip into your dirndl or lederhosen and join in the fun. When it’s Oktoberfest in Lindau, nobody stays home! The festival traditionally begins on Friday evening with a gun salute and the legendary barrel tapping ceremony.

This is followed by three days of fun and festivities. It’s also a chance to try some local dishes, such as the traditional Ochsen à la LandZunge (ox tongue). Of course it’s all washed down with a mug of delicious wheat beer. But wine-lovers are not forgotten! They can sample excellent wines from Weingut Lanz in Nonnenhorn.

Outside the main festival tent there are also a number of fairground attractions. Sunday is family day. Families can spend the day in the tent or fairground enjoying a special children’s programme – and admission is free.
