Every visitor to the region should make sure they take a trip to a Rädle. At certain times of the year, wineries open their doors and invite the public to sample their wines and tasty home-made dishes. They have different names in different areas, but at the Bavarian end of Lake Constance they are known as Rädle or Rädlewirtschaft. They serve tasty snacks and home-produced wines and fruit juices in a cosy atmosphere. They are only allowed to open for four months a year, which can be divided into two periods.

There are two Rädle in Lindau: The Schönauer Rädle at Obsthof Brög serves its own wines from the Ringoldsberg vineyard, along with juice from its own apples. Visitors can also enjoy a tasty snack, perhaps freshly baked rolls or bread and jam.

At Degelstein, the Rädle run by Teresa Deufel, guests eat and drink in a former cellar and occasionally there is live jazz in the evenings.
