The round tour with nightwatchman Fridolin leads you on a journey into the past across the island of Lindau. Armed with a halberd, a lantern and plenty of humour, he will lead you through the town’s dark, winding alleyways and show you its hidden corners. From the 15th to the mid-19th century, the city was protected by a nightwatchman. He was mainly responsible for keeping the peace and ensuring law and order. The importance of his duties was emphasised by the fact that he was sworn in by the mayor and the high council.
