Säntis

The journey through the idyllic Appenzell region or picturesque Toggenburg prepares you for the impressive mountain world of Säntis. Schwägalp, the starting point of the Säntis cable car, is easily and safely accessible all year round. The ten-minute ride on the cable car to the summit is an experience in itself and opens up a panorama that stretches from the Alps to Lake Constance and six countries.
Even in changeable weather, there is plenty to discover on the Säntis: the interactive experience world offers exciting insights into the topics of weather, ice, geology and the history of the cable car. Culinary highlights await both at the summit and at the valley station: from traditional Appenzell and Toggenburg specialities to generous breakfast buffets. The rustic Passhöhe inn along the pass road invites you to take a cosy break with coffee or a hearty fondue – perfect for any time of day.
