Lindau´s annual fair will once again be opening for business in Lindau from 4 till 7 November 2016. The delicious smells of sizzling bratwurst and aromatic roasted almonds waft across the island, and crowds flock to the funfair.
Annual fair with tradition
Lindau’s Annual Fair with flea market and funfair has been a town tradition since 1652. If you’re looking for thrills, head for the car park at the Inselhalle, where you’ll find around 40 attractions. The fairground rides will tip you up and send you racing round bends and tunnels at breakneck speed. If you prefer your fun to be a little more sedate, try the bumper cars and swing rides. And of course it wouldn’t be a funfair without the shooting galleries, fairground games and the legendary horse derby.
Experience for the whole family
Tuesday is family day, when there are discounts on the Rummelplatz. The swing ride and wave rider guarantee fun for all the family. They have double seats so that parents can join their children as they swing through the air.
In 2016 the Jahrmarkt runs from 4-7 November. The flea market is open every day from 10.00 am to 6.30 pm. The funfair is open on the Inselhalle car park from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm. Lindau’s shops also stay open on Sunday during the fair.
Tip: Take it easy – take the bus. Local buses run every 20 minutes from the Blauwiese car park to the casino on the island. On Saturday and Sunday the buses run from 10.00 am to 7.10 pm, and on Monday and Tuesday from 2.00 pm to 7.10 pm.
