Constance are among the most beautiful garden events in Germany. Directly on the shores of Lake Constance, garden lovers and those who want to become gardeners can stroll, talk shop and, of course, shop.

The garden days will not take place again until 2022.

Products for garden lovers

When it’s green and blossoming in spring, the Lindau Garden Days invite you to enjoy nature in all its facets. At the open-air event, numerous exhibitors not only give tips on how to create the most beautiful personal space in the green, but also have everything on offer that is necessary for this: from bulbs, seeds and perennials to herbs and medicinal plants to flowers, bushes and small trees, the palette ranges.

Of course, gardening tools, decorative items, artistic accessories, natural products for everyday life and wellness as well as culinary delights are also on offer.

Gardening is a matter of the heart

“The garden is such a beautiful subject that many people find joy in,” enthuses Robert Sulzberger, horticultural engineer and organiser of the Garden Days. He not only organises the event in Lindau, but also oversees other markets in the region as well as a thriving online portal for garden lovers and enthusiasts. What makes the event special is the personal touch: many exhibitors have been part of the garden family for many years; the first Lindau Garden Days were held in 2006. The atmosphere on the waterfront is correspondingly relaxed and pleasant: small cafés and seating areas provide space and tranquillity for a shared exchange, and there is also plenty of entertainment for children.

In short: The Garden Days are like a short holiday in a small wellness oasis for body and soul.

Saturday: 10:00 – 19:00 hrs
Sunday: 10:00 – 18:00 hrs

Dogs and other animals are only permitted on the exhibition grounds with reservations, but are generally not welcome on the exhibition grounds for several reasons: they could contaminate the grounds with their droppings, cause damage to goods for sale and even snatch at other passers-by in the dense crowd of visitors.

Arrival at the event

In order to reach the Gartentage Lindau without stress, we kindly ask you to travel by public transport such as bus, train or boat.

By train and boat, you get off in the middle of the island town. From there you can reach the Gartentag in approx. 10 – 15 minutes on foot (via the railway embankment to the mainland). If the bus route is too far for you, then take the city bus on the island to ZUP and there change to bus line 4. The bus stops are: Musikschule (near entrance south) and Giebelbach (near entrance north).

If you do arrive by car, we recommend the Park & Ride car parks P1 & P2 on the mainland. We advise you not to look for a parking space directly at the event site, as there are only residents’ parking spaces there. However, it is possible to get there at short notice to load your shopping (via Wacker-/Giebelbachstr., Holdereggenstr. or Aeschacher Ufer).
