The winegrowers at the Bavarian Lake Constance produce particularly fruity and aromatic wine. The rich soil, the mild climate and the geological conditions of the lake region offer the best conditions for growing and favor the growth of the vines.
Excellent cultivation area
The mild, almost Mediterranean climate of Lake Constance region is ideal for growing wine, and the different terroirs from glacial to volcanic soils also promote the vines’ prosperity. The local vineyards are embedded in the gently rolling hills of the foothills of the Alps – Lake Constance separates them from the mighty peaks of the Alps. And it is precisely these alpine mountains that often bring the foehn wind – a warm, dry fall wind that supports the growth of the vines. In addition, Lake Constance acts as a gigantic heat reservoir that collects the heat of the summer and ensures mild autumn and winter months.
The result is exquisite wines that are known and loved far beyond the region – such as Müller-Thurgau, Solaris, Pinot Noir and Pinotin.
Wine tasting in Lindau
If you want to learn interesting facts about Lindau wine and also taste it, you should take part in one of the wine tastings in Lindau. Marion Bruckmann offers guided tours through the vineyards or, in case of bad weather, through the wine cellars with a following tasting every Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m. between June and August at the Haug winery as well as at the Brög fruit farm.

Lindau's wine-grower
In Lindau, there are two organic winegrowers with their own vineyards, Claudius Haug and Teresa Deufel, who have been operating since 1975.
The Brög family is also running a fruit farm in the fourth generation and spoils its guests with wine from its own cultivation.

A summer dream between vine and wine glass is the winegrower festival Komm und See. Here, the winegrowers from Lindauer and the Bavarian Lake Constance invite you to come. Pack your wine glass and take the bus shuttle from one winery to the next to experience the convivial atmosphere and cheerful mood.
