Lake Constance cycle path from Lindau

The Lake Constance cycle path is one of the most popular cycle paths in Central Europe. It runs almost entirely along the shore of the lake, past the region’s most famous highlights: the island and garden city of Lindau, Bregenz with the Pfänderbahn railway, the Rhine Falls near Schaffhausen, Mainau Island of Flowers, Reichenau Island World Heritage Site, the Council City of Constance and the Birnau pilgrimage church. Beginners and families will also find the mostly flat, continuously signposted path very easy to follow. It is best to take the Bodensee-Radweg from Lindau “right round” in the direction of Bregenz, so that you are on the lake side of the road. If you wish, a luggage transport will bring your luggage to the desired destination.

  • Length: approx. 280 km
  • Height difference: approx. 280 m
  • Duration: approx. 24 h (pure driving time)

Lindau is also the starting point for the Bodensee-Königssee cycle path. The long-distance cycle path is mostly hilly – experienced cyclists need three to five days for the route. The castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, the salt mines of Bad Reichenhall and a total of twelve lakes can be seen.

There is a bike bus on the route.
