Save time and money by using the parking spaces P1 Blauwiese or P2 Ehemaliger Bauhof. Here you can park the car at favorable conditions and then travel comfortably and easily with the Lindau city bus to the island. In this way, you help to make the Lindau island car-free and to increase the quality of stay and life.
Find a car park in Lindau
We kindly ask you to use the parking spaces P1 and P2 and not to drive on the Lindau Island. On the entire island as well as on most of the mainland, parking is subject to charges and usually limited in time. During the Bavarian school vacations and on weekends you can also use the school parking lots free of charge. Furthermore, the existing parking spaces on the island are mainly residents’ parking only.
Dott e-scooters and bicycles are available at all the car parks listed below. You can rent them quickly and easily via the dott app, for example to travel to Lindau Island.
New developments from 2026
The city of Lindau is introducing a digital, barrier-free parking management system in cooperation with Peter Park System GmbH. The new solution replaces barriers and tickets with data protection-compliant license plate recognition and enables convenient parking without stopping.
The digital change affects the following parking lots:
Ehemaliger Bauhof (P2), Karl-Bever-Platz (P3), Parkhaus Inselhalle (P4), Reutin railway station “Park & Ride” (P+R), and, expectedly, the Blauwiese parking lot (P1).
Here’s how it works:
- Entering: Thanks to the barrier-free entrance, you can drive in directly without stopping. The parking process starts automatically as soon as your license plate has been scanned.
- Parking & visiting: Select one of the available parking spaces and remember your license plate number. There is no need to take a separate parking ticket.
- Pay: Please pay for your parking. After entering your license plate number at a pay station, you can pay with coins, card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Alternatively, parkers can also pay online or via the “EasyPark” app up to 24 hours after the end of the parking process.
- Leaving: Paid for your parking? Then you can simply drive away. Your license plate number will be read automatically as you exit and your parking session will be considered complete.
Further information on parking can be found on the Mobility Hub Parkservice GmbH website.

For a fee of € 2.00, the desired bicycle garage can be opened and you can comfortably put your bike inside. Here you can find information on how to use the bicycle lockers.
Six digital bicycle garages are available at Reutin railway station. There is also a service station with tools for simple repairs and the option to inflate tyres. The service offer is complemented by an automatic tube dispenser. You can access the garages with a digital key, which you can obtain via the CONNECT ready app.
