Every year in June, Lindau hosts the Seglertage (Sailing Days), which also includes the nightly long-distance regatta Rund Um. In 2024, the regatta will take place from 30. Mai to 01. June, when the event celebrates its 73th anniversary.

Largest regatta at Lake Constance

The “Rund Um” is the largest sailing event on Lake Constance and takes place in Lindau. Every year, over 400 sailing boats compete to cover the challenging route across the lake as quickly as possible. Since 2023, the Lindau Sailing Club has come up with a new concept to offer all participants and spectators even more fun and excitement.

With the new start times from 16:00, there is more to see and celebrate, as the fastest starters should be back the same evening and the winner can be celebrated.

There will be a three-day programme of festivities for spectators on land: A maritime flea market, music, entertainment and good food and drink invite you to watch and linger. Detailed information about the event and the supporting programme can be found in the “Rund Um” magazine.

The route of the "Rund Um"

The race is sailed once around Lake Constance, covering a distance of 100 kilometres for the large yachts and a shorter distance for the small yachts. The time limit is 24 hours.

The “long course” for groups 1 and 2 starts in Lindau and has its course markers in Romanshorn, Eichhorn, Überlingen and at the Lindau bell striking station. The short regatta course for group 3 also starts in Lindau and has its course markers in Romanshorn, Eichhorn and at the Glockenschlagwerk Lindau. The finish line for all groups is the pier of the Lindau Sailing Club (LSC).

The start times are as follows: 16:00, 16:15 and 16:30. First the very fast, then the fast and finally the large field will start.

The regatta itself will be concluded after 26 hours, i.e. on Saturday evening at 18:00 with the award ceremony at 20:00 and a regatta party afterwards.
